Masjid Zakariya - DEMISE NOTES

It is with sadness to inform that one of our Masjid’s Community Member Brother Zafar Ali Chohan has passed away at Maghreb on September 30, 2021. His burial took place in Lahore, Pakistan.

Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. الهم اغفر له وارحمه واسكنه في الجنة الفردوس انا لله وانا اليه راجعون آمين يارب العالمين

Please keep him and the family in your prayers, May Allah forgive his sins and elevate his status in paradise. Ameen

Zafar Ali Chohan had moved to Toronto in 1984. He was a hardworking entrepreneur who continued to travel between Pakistan and Canada till retirement.

He adored the masjid and made many friends here and looked forward to spending time with them. He was a kind, generous man  and always helped people in need. He left behind his two sons, two daughters and 11 grandchildren.  His one daughter and son in law, Hamid Hafeez reside in Pickering and request you read fatiha for him.

It is with sadness to inform that one of our Masjid’s Zakariya Community’s Elder Member (was living recently in Markham) Brother Mujahid Akbar has passed away before Mughrib today Tuesday 18 August 2020.

Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. الهم اغفر له وارحمه واسكنه في الجنة الفردوس انا لله وانا اليه راجعون آمين يارب العالمين

Janazah & Burial Update

Namaj e Janaza will be tomorrow Wednesday 19 August 2020 @12pm at Islamic foundation of Toronto (441 Nugget Ave, Scarborough, ON M1S 5E1)

and thereafter burial will be at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens, 541 Taunton Road West

Nayeem Ali Kadri was a Finance Controller by profession, Mr. Nayeem Ali Kadri was a pious hard-working man who migrated to Canada from Bangladesh. He spent the last 20 years working in the finance and accounting sector, specializing in the manufacturing industry. He was kind and generous, always helped people in need. Mr. Nayeem Ali Kadri died on 6th Jun 2020, Saturday early morning (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un). He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and several good friends and acquaintances. May Allah grant him Jannah and bless the family.
